IN HARMONY WITH NATURE

The house can be accessed by a private pathway that ascends from the street to a parking platform. The garden walls are clad in Mallorcan dry stone, and the floor coverings consist of cobblestone. The garden will be a reconstruction of the original natural landscape, blending seamlessly into the surroundings. 

THE SOCIAL HEART

The main area consists of a spacious living room, dining area and kitchen, which are centred around a sculptural staircase. The large windows are discreetly integrated into the walls, allowing the front and back terraces and the pool to blend into the interior and create a unique space with a continuous floor made of recycled Eulin solid wood. On this floor, there is also a room with an en-suite bathroom – an ideal space for an office, games room or to accommodate guests – a second kitchen and two lavatories: one for the pool area and the other for guests.

ARQUITECTURE

Spatial clarity, bespoke materials and refined craftsmanship in seamless dialogue with the landscape––With this visionary landmark, AVW Arquitectos sets a new benchmark for contemporary Mediterranean living.  From a dock in Bali to the Casa Ingravida Alejandro von Waberer and María Oliver, the architects of Casa Ingravida, were fortunate to find a little treasure. In a village at the southern tip of the island of Bali, the locals were about to dismantle an old wooden dock. Von Waberer and Oliver saw in those boards, marked by humidity and the wear of time, a unique opportunity. A noble wood, embellished by the passing of time, which was given a second life by adorning the facade of Casa Ingravida. And so, the wood of this dock travelled halfway around the world to maintain its beauty and functionality, connecting two seemingly distant places: Bali and Mallorca. 

EQUIPMENT

The house is equipped with underfloor heating, air conditioning, and individually adjustable temperature controls, all managed via the Basalte home automation system. Sensors, smart control panels and sensor buttons are installed throughout the house. The technical systems are supported by solar cells, making the house particularly energy efficient. The Bang & Olufsen sound system extends throughout the social areas and outdoor spaces. In the living room, the television vanishes into the floor like it was never there in the first place. The OTTIMA motorized and programmable windows can be controlled from any mobile device, just like the lighting, which features designer fixtures by Davide Groppi. The screens in both social and private areas are integrated into the home automation system. The house will be fully equipped with a Modulnova kitchen, Gaggenau appliances, wardrobes and walk-in closets by Molteni, and designer furniture. For the finishes, only large-format natural stones and woods will be used in the bathrooms, countertops, and showers, complemented by fittings from the Italian brand Cea Design.
